A series of visits were conducted by MD BEF Abdul Wahid Shakir Baloch across multiple Community Schools (CS) in Jafferabad, Sobatpur, Usta Muhammad, and Naseerabad from November 4th to 7th, 2024. The observations revealed varying levels of infrastructure, staffing, student attendance, and learning environments. Schools such as CS Qaiser Khan Hijwani and CS Mehbob Muhammad Hasni in Jafferabad benefited from well-constructed buildings facilitated by BEF, with dedicated teaching staff and active student engagement. In some cases, outstanding teachers were recommended for appreciation certificates. However, certain challenges were noted, such as absenteeism at CS Ali Haider Chalgri, where two teachers were warned for their absence.
In Sobatpur, issues like low student attendance at CS Akber Khiazai led to a PTSMC meeting to address absenteeism. Meanwhile, CS Gul Sher Kandrani, operating in a single-room facility, maintained a good learning environment despite limited resources. Schools in Usta Muhammad faced infrastructure challenges, with CS Kaichi Khan Umrani conducting classes in open areas due to flood-damaged classrooms. CS Ghulam Jan Kakar demonstrated strong student performance but required a boundary wall for improved security.
In Naseerabad, CS M Ramazan Umrani exhibited strong administrative practices but required urgent repairs to its BEF-built structure, which was deemed unsafe. CS Lal Muhammad Jattak showcased excellent learning outcomes, disciplined student behavior, and a well-organized environment, leading to rewards and appreciation certificates for staff and volunteers. Throughout the visits, MD BEF Abdul Wahid Shakir Baloch provided recommendations for infrastructure improvements, teacher recognitions, and additional staffing where necessary to enhance the educational experience.
