Procurement Section at the BEF was established in Feb 2006 Its main goal is to have smooth and transparent procurement procedures and process in line with World Bank procurement guidelines for goods and services. Its objective are to have effective, well planned procurement of services and goods for the efficient & timely achievements of targets of the program.
Activities undertaken by the procurement section of BEF: The procurement section of BEF has successfully carried several procurement activities both of goods and services. During March 2006 to October 2006 most of the Goods required for BEF office setup, have been procured under the Procurement guidelines of IBRD Loans and IDA Credits May 2004. In the procurement of services contracts with Community Implementing Partners (CIPs) have been signed and the selection method for the selection method of IPs has been ‘selection based on consultants Qualification’ under the procurement Guidelines for selection & Employment of Consultants by WORLD BANK BORROWERS MAY 2004. Rests of the planned activities of the procurement are in progress and expected to be completed within the given time frame.
